Heirs Holdings Chairman, Tony O. Elumelu CON, will meet with the French President Emmanuel Macron at the ‘Choose France’ summit taking place at the Palace of Versailles in Paris today. The ‘Choose France’ summit is a high-level conference that will pool together the global investment and development ecosystem, bringing together over 150 business leaders from multi-nationals in various sectors, ahead of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The aim of the event is to highlight bi-lateral investment opportunities after several months of far-reaching economic reforms by the French government. Mr Elumelu is one of the six African business delegates that will represent the interest of the African private sector as France sets the tone for a renewed relationship with Anglophone Africa. This was marked by President Macron’s visit to Nigeria and Ghana in 2018, where he advocated a new partnership during an interactive session with 2,000 young African entrepreneurs hosted by the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
