Hey there, I’m back again

Being someone who gets too much happiness from good food, trust me with this review!

I was about to review a proper restaurant when I changed my mind and decided to draw our attention to this cute cafe in V.I (Victoria Island) called CAFETERIA NG.

If you are looking for that American diner-style brunch vibe, this is it. If you are looking for a place that serves brunch all day, please head there you won’t regret it as they will satisfy all your cravings, from eggs, waffles, pancakes, french toast and bacon, sausages, burgers, Tacos, french fries to Mac and cheese etc. If you like milkshakes and frappuccinos, say no more. There’s something for everyone, I call this place my “reward place” I always enjoy their amazing meals.

1.   Name of Restaurant:  Cafeteria Nigeria

2.   Location: 16 Akin Adesola Street VI, Lagos State.

3.   Experience: The brunch here is always a hit.

4.   Parking: Not that much space for parking.

5.     Menu:  They have an amazing menu

6.   Extra advantage: They serve brunch all day with the yummiest foods and the location is central.

7.   Why?

Because they have delicious breakfast meals and are open all day. The waiters and someone I presumed to be the manager make rounds to ask if everything is fine. It is always a pleasant experience.

8.   Damage?

Between 6,000 – 8,000 for a meal, depending.

9.   What meal(s)/drink(s) would you recommend?

I recommend the French Toast combo or the Berry bliss pancakes because it comes with some yummy sides, for the fit fams, the traditional English breakfast or their southern King prawn salad will do it. They have a large menu to choose from. For drinks, Hot chocolate, Milkshakes or frappuccino if you have sweet tooth like me.

10. Rate the service: I struggled to place an order the first time I visited because there were so many people waiting to be attended to. I made a mistake by visiting there on a Sunday after church service, it was not a funny experience at all, but the only thing that made the wait worth it was the pictures of their variety of food I saw earlier on their Instagram (IG) page. Their IG page is so inviting, it makes you look forward to trying out their food.

Anyway, they later came to the car to take our orders and brought it in less than 15mins. We had planned to have the brunch there but ended up taking it home as there was no seating available. The place was packed with people waiting to be seated.

The restaurant is not so big but it can comfortably fit about 30 people or more. After my first experience, I learnt not to visit on Sundays between the hours of 11 am – 2 pm. Once you get the timing right, the experience is awesome; from the meals to their service, all top-notch.

The staff are very courteous, the waiters are always quick to present the menu and to take your order(s). The manager goes around regularly to check in and ask if you are okay with everything.

11. Verdict? Would you recommend this place?: Yes, it is a great option and a perfect place to grab a quick bite. It is an all-day breakfast place with great service. I have made several return visits to this place and have ordered some takeouts also as they do delivery.

12. Any additional information about this place you’d like to share?: It is a small space, and it is always very full on Sundays. Despite all this, the food and service are on point.

Remember, “food may be essential as fuel for the body, but good food is fuel for the soul.”

Best Regards

Jess.
