From the Fast Lane to the Corridors of Power

One of these drivers may soon become your President!

If you are here in Lagos and you get to move around, chances are that you have probably entered an Uber. And if you are one of the lucky ones, you may entered one with a very chatty driver – the ones who share everything – from their aspirations to probing you with personal questions.

The other day, I sat in one and listened to him reel about his undergraduate days. Then there was one who had a legit break up conversation with his girl friend. I enjoyed chatting with a female Uber driver one other time, driven by my curiosity about how she got into the profession.

The truth is, chauffeurs have very interesting inner lives, (if only we can look up from our phones long enough to listen. ?). It got me wondering: What hidden stories or facts are we missing from our incredible pool drivers at Heirs Place? Naturally, we decided to get to know them a little bit more.

In this edition, we reel out in quick points such as their nicknames, history with the group, what they love about their jobs and their long aspirations and of course, what they would do if they were President of Nigeria!

Read, enjoy…
