Financial Accountant, Transcorp Hotels Calabar, Bassey Ukorebi, shares how his happiest moments and how he unwinds after a long week at work. Read below.

What Inspires You?
I am inspired by hope & Success when people rise against all odds regardless of the situation they find themselves in. When people don’t let their background be a reason why their backs should perpetually be on the ground.

How do you unwind?
Well…. unwinding is what I look forward to after a long week of hard work….Hanging with my friends over a drink, barbeque and good music is perfect for me and most recently going out with my dear and stylish wife to the movies and to the mall is one way of unwinding and then trying out my culinary prowess with her is another.

Best Book Read?
I love to read books and I have read a lot but favourite amongst the lot is the 80/20 principle by Robert Kuch.

Best Film Watched?
I guess a movie you have watched and can watch 10 times will fall in this category, so I’d say the best movies I have watched are London has Fallen and the legendary Game of Thrones.

Favourite football club or any other sport that strikes your fancy?
I am a proud fan of the Chelsea football club when it comes to football and I recently registered at the Calabar golf club because I love the elite’s status and the wide range of connections and networking associated with the game of golf.

Most Embarrassing moment ever experienced?
I try to make the best out of every situation I find myself in, so I can’t really remember when last, I was genuinely embarrassed.

Happiest moment ever experienced?
I am always quick to share this part cos I have two happiest moments………. The first happiest moment of my life was when my lovely wife said the big “YES” to my proposal aboard a boeing 737, 33,000 feet above sea level, It was an amazing experience. The second was when I saw and heard the cry of my “cute little mini me” via face time, my joy knew no bounds and that joy and excitement hasn’t left me till now.

What is family to you?
Family to me doesn’t really have to be someone related to me by blood, family is anyone who truly loves me, cares about me and is there for me through “thick & thin” …. period!!

Turn on’s?
Integrity, Honesty, Intelligence & Jennifer (my wife).

Turn off’s?
Bad service, Feeling of self-entitlement, Body odor & Victim mentality.
