Hello there,

It may interest you to know that the Chairman did not only provide us with a shade from the sun, he also provided us with daily vitamins and nutritional supplements.

Did I hear someone say “Wawuu?

Oh yes, he did! For the past month, I have been enjoying the supply of natural vitamins from the ‘tropical Almond fruit tree’ here on Heirs Place Premises.

It all started one early morning when I watched the gardener “Mr Akpan” sweep and clean the compound which was littered with the leaves and fruits from this huge Tropical Almond tree in front of the building. There were fruits everywhere! I recognised the almonds as something we used to call “fruit” growing up, so when I saw Mr Akpan packing and throwing away the ‘fruits’ I sighed inside of me and thought “what a waste of natural resources and I am here buying fruits every day from salad bars when I can get my free nutrients here”.

I quickly ran outside and said to Mr Akpan, “I will help pick up the fruits”, and I helped myself.

Lol

From then on, I became the official fruit-picker as I have picked fruits every day for breakfast. The days I do not find the ripe ones, I feel so tempted to climb the tree not minding my work clothes and high shoes. It has gotten to the extent that a colleague actually helps me pick fruits and then says: I have a gift for you.

No! It’s the Chairman’s gift to us.

I randomly found out from a colleague that they are called Almond fruits and inside the fruit seed is the almond seed.

This led me to research the Tropical Almond Fruit…

Benefits from fruits and seeds of tropical almond

  1. Lower cholesterol

According to a research conducted by the University of Toronto, Canada, studies show that if we consume fruits and seeds of tropical almonds, this will bring benefits to our body because it has the effect to lower cholesterol more than 30% due to its calcium nutrients.

Moreover, tropical almond seeds contain vitamin E which has a role of reducing the amount of C-reactive protein that can cause inflammation of the arteries and lead to increased risk of heart attack.

  1. Hepatitis treatment

Research shows that the almond has strong antipathetic effects including superoxide radical scavenger activity to treat hepatitis.

  1. Treat skin disease like dermatitis

There are so many benefits that we can get from the leaves of this almond tropical tree. One of them is to treat skin diseases, dermatitis, which causes skin redness, pain and swelling, as well as small blisters caused by irritation or allergies.

  1. Good for pregnant women

Another health benefit of tropical almonds is the content of folic acid that helps to reduce birth defects in newborn.

So, if you are expecting, we strongly recommend you make tropical almonds your snack from now on.

  1. Good for your stomach

By eating the seeds of the tropical almond fruit, you can get the benefits for your stomach because the oil that is in the seeds of tropical almond fruit helps reduce inflammation of the abdominal cavity.

  1. Natural Beauty Treatments

The outer shell of the almond tropical tree and the fruit are usually used for tanning the skin, as a natural dye, and also as ink.

If you know someone who suffers from leprosy, scabies or another skin diseases, I recommend cooking and using leaves from tropical almond trees.

  1. Rich in Fibre

The fruit is very useful because it contains fibre that is beneficial to your body.

  1. Improve Overall Health

Research shows that the extraction of tropical almonds helps the body avoid various diseases such as constipation, respiratory disorders, impotence, diabetes, cough, heart problems, etc.

Medical experts recommend the people to start eating tropical almonds with other foods every day because of the many benefits that we can get from tropical almonds.

  1. Anti-cancer

We get most of the health benefits of tropical almonds from the leaves which are used for herbal treatment and the prevention of cancer.

Lastly, I must add that this fruit smells so good they should make room sprays and fragrances from them!

On this note, on behalf of all staff I would like to thank our Group Chairman for the supply of these daily fresh fruits and also wish him a Happy Birthday in Advance ?
