This month, our #StyleCrush is Olamide Malik, HR Manager at Heirs Holdings.

Olamide’s style is effortlessly chic, and she tells us all about it in this feature:

White shift dress by Wanni Fuga

What I like the most about this style is, it is comfortable. It is a loose but flattering dress. Even though loose, it doesn’t make me look frumpy
What motivated this style.
I wore this dress on a night out with friends. We went out to a restaurant for dinner. It was easy to put on and did not make me feel uncomfortable after eating. There was no after food bulge showing and I was even able to have desert and still look amazing at the end of the night.

Power Suit by Massimo Dutti

What I like the most about this style is the fit. A suit is not to make a woman look manly. A woman can also look stylish in a suit. Being a woman is worth celebrating and we don’t have to dress like men to look powerful
What motivated the style.
This outfit was worn to work after a long break. I wanted to look the part. I added the colourful top to add some colour to my outfit. Work style does not have to be boring and colours always give life to the outfit and brightens your day.

Dress by Monique Lhuillier

What I liked most about this style – This dress makes me look effortlessly glam. It showcases my style of chic elegance for formal wear.
What motivated this style –
I have always admired long mono strap formal dresses. Even better, the overlap from the front down to the side and the rich burgundy colour all came together nicely.
I was happy to wear this dress to the send forth and inauguration party of two well respected members of the Heirs Holdings group.

Purple velvet by Topstitch_ng

What I liked most about the style – I particularly like the off shoulder and the high low cape details.
What motivated this style
The fabric, the floral patterns and the colour. I wanted to make an outfit that goes both ways; somewhere in between traditional and black tie… You can wear it for a reception or you could throw your gele on and make it more traditional.

Pink Blush by JbLiving

What I like the most about this style is the off shoulder. The off shoulder shows off my shoulders in a classy way. I can show some skin in a nice way that is not vulgar.
What motivated this style.
I wanted a timeless outfit made. Off shoulder and bell sleeves are in the timeless fashion hall of fame. I can wear this dress 10 years from now and it will not look out dated. The satin accent around the waist makes my waist look smaller and flatters my body shape.

Dress by H&M

What I like the most about this style is the print. Makes me feel like I am on a beach in Hawaii sipping a cocktail. The print is fun and interesting.
 What motivated this style.
I wore this outfit to a birthday party. It was an afternoon outdoor party on a Saturday. It was a hot afternoon and I wanted something bright and fun to wear, dark fabrics and a bright hot sun is not a great combination.
Also, I knew it was going to be hot so a thin strapped dress was a huge YES. I love the bow detail and the layered bottom, it just seemed right for a fun Saturday afternoon.

Ankara Skirt by Iconola

What I liked most about this style
This high waist Ankara skirt with details is perfect for a movie night. It is very comfortable and proudly African.
What motivated this style –
It reflects my easy but solid lifestyle. You go to the store, you pick out what most appeals to you. To my surprise, it’s comfortable and the fit is impeccable. The best part is it doesn’t break the bank.

No.2. (The loose white shift is a very bright idea. It allows you to freely glutonize at a dinner.
