This is Chinwendu (you can call me Endy) reporting for duty!

I went around ‘feeling the pulse’ of the people by asking what ‘delulu’ things they’ve done recently and/or are doing. Why? Because you and I both know that Delulu is the new Solulu.

PS: It can’t just be me, right?

It took a while to explain this to a few people because they were claiming ‘I’m level-headed’ but we still got some answers.

Let’s go!

I binge-watch K-Drama and media stalk BTS news and videos. Very relaxing!

I went to Singapore and saw Hyun Bin. I have pics too!

PS: Did you know Lee Min Ho’s birthday was in June and he got even more gifts than he got the year before?

Also, BTS’ Jin just finished his military service and did a session where he got too hug 1,000 fans.

If you didn’t know, now you know!

I told my wife to replicate what we saw on the internet for a trial; Cucumber sauce. It tastes good though but not as real stew. Also, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in my house now, whether there is PHCN light or not we switch over to an inverter to save cost because we are in band A. This has drastically reduced my electricity bill from about 210k to 120k.

I yell “Hayde” every now & then. Be it in the shower, after cracking a difficult task or just hitting a eureka moment. Hajde” (which means “let’s go”, “come”, “come on”) is borrowed from Ottoman Turkish هایده‎ (hayde), هایدی‎ (haydi). It helps me feel alive.

POV: I bought 1 loaf of bread for 1,700 Saturday morning.

Saturday evening:

Kids: Mummy please can we have toast?

Me: Yes

Kids: Bread has finished

Me: HOW!!!!!

Kids: We ate some for breakfast……and we can’t find the rest of it…..

Me: Go and read your bible……start from Matthew 4:4

Going to the market with 5k expecting a bucket and half of tomatoes and getting 5 pieces of tomatoes

Sleeping away my pressures believing that all issues would sort themselves out before I wake up!

I believe very soon a dollar would be 197 Naira and a can of sardines would be N250. Just wait and see.

  • Tolani

‘I ensure I spend on what I need and enjoy the moment. Whatever moments I have now are mine, and if anything happens to me, Next of Kin will eat my hard-earned money.

  • Iyabo

I still do my monthly SPA maintenance despite the economic inflation. I must always buy skincare too, if I perish I perish.

  • Gloria

I can’t say I’ve personally tried the cucumber or watermelon stew but, what I will say is that everyone definitely needs the ‘Delulu mentality to survive. If you currently don’t know yours, ask your group chat. That group chat with your closest friends or siblings group chat and you’d be shocked by their responses. It doesn’t have to be anything dramatic but one thing that you know if you say outside, 3 -4 people will look back with a ‘huh’ reaction.

PS: Feel free to drop the responses you receive in the chat.

Until next time.

Bye X.

Maybe delulu is the solulu afterall because the peace of mind with living Tolani’s delulu moment for a minute was the best feeling. I think I will go buy sardines this night, close my eyes and just eat and assume I bought it at N250. And yes. it’s a zero-calorie diet.
