December’s the most wonderful and favourite time of the year for me. I get to bond with my colleagues during the end-of-year experiences and activities which are usually organised by the office. We also look forward to our end-of-year gifts and bonuses! In general, the cool daytime breeze of the harmattan and the freezing nights coupled with the excitement of fireworks in the air only add to the awesomeness of December.
In the spirit of December and rounding up the year in general, I would like to share some of the things I’m thankful for this year.
Firstly, I’m thankful for the safe arrival of my little girl who showed up a week after the unexpected Baby Shower organised by the Africa Prudential HR team in conjunction with some snitches that I call colleagues, lol. It was totally appreciated more so because I was pleasantly surprised: )
Upon resuming maternity leave, I’ve had the pleasure of liaising with some new talented colleagues. I’m also thankful for the re-assignment of my role within AP and the awesome opportunity to re-learn and contribute my best to AP in a new capacity,
Thirdly, I’m thankful for the salary increment which was also implemented; I see this as a good show of employee appreciation and acknowledging our accomplishments.
