NO SHORTCUTS TO SUCCESS

Success is the achievement of an action within a specified parameter or period of time. Success can also mean completing an objective or reaching a goal, and it can be achieved within the workplace or in an individual’s personal life.

So many people think success just happens overnight, while they fold their hands and watch. Hard work begets success. You focus and reason on any perspective that makes you more successful. Your mentality, attitude and approach to success make it realistic and visible to you, else you will remain invisible no matter how hard you struggle. The road to success is not sprinkled with roses; you channel your efforts and endeavours towards what you really want to achieve. The walk is not a catwalk, nor is it a gift on a platter of gold.

Success is an achievement by constant diligence. As we all know being successful becomes hard to come through when most of us lack the essential quality of diligence, hence why failure is rampant.

Even after seeing that effort is the magic stick for all achievements, some people still hold the view that, at least some people in the world do get whatever they want without much effort. This may be true in the case of a very few who may have been born with silver spoons in their mouths’ but by and large, all others whom we see on the pedestal of success are there only because of hard work.

Mr. Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu is a case study of “Success through Hard work”.

But the reality is that only hard work, commitment, and persistence will get you to where you need to be.  In as much as it takes so long to develop the bad habit, it also takes a bit more time to retrain it.  This does not mean you cannot or should not be getting results, but if you are expecting to come in and the next day sing like Christina Aguilera or Bruno Mars, then you are setting yourself up for failure and disappointment.

Working hard constantly and regularly will make you always stand out. Rather than feeling jealous of people rising, try to see what extra effort they are putting in to improve their prospects to become successful. Those who make continuous effort in the right direction rarely lose in the struggle of life. Let’s put it at the back of our mind that, there is no shortcut to success, the road to success is never strewn with bed of roses but thorny and very long and whoever that undertake the tedious journey with a nonstop determination always find comfort at the end.

“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. – Colin Powell”
