Vox Pop: What Signs Show A Man & Woman in Love?

It’s actually easier to tell when a man does NOT love you. If irritable, dishonest, callous and/or secretive. ‎If he is careless in handling good news or bad news that affects me, etc. Love is not gloomy or dark, it liberates. So when a man loves you, he places you in high esteem both privately and publicly.

When he is not that into you? If you sense prolonged disconnection and “unavailability”, it signals all is not well.

I am not of the school of thought that love is something that people fall into. After a while, as life happens, I believe that love eventually comes consciously; people decide to choose loves. It’s not from the feelings and attraction. It comes in dark times when it is only love that can keep you strong; that is the space in which love grows.

– Abimbola Adebakin, Tony Elumelu Foundation

When he puts up with your drama and still calls you his ‘wife’, when he encourages you be the best you can be and is fiercely protective of your future, you know he loves you.

– Enitan Sawyerr, Avon HMO

When I love a woman,  I would convey my feelings verbally by speaking to her, and by non-verbal expression through gifts and visits. I take up some responsibilities off her, be interested in whatever she does and expend quality time with her. When I first fell in love, I felt a butterfly fluttered in the pit of my stomach. Simply put, I became fond of her and began to miss her.

 – Tony Aniemeke, Heirs Insurance Brokers

You know you are in love when you start doing very very very stupid things *laughs* like sitting in the saloon for hours watching the attendants make her hair! I first knew I was in love when she something really annoying and I started begging! Imagine. I started begging! That’s when I realized I was gone!

– Edet Unanaowo, Heirs Holdings

The little signs that you may see when two people are in love are:

  • Long, dreamy gazes between the couple
  • A constant desire to want to be in each other’s company and laughter at every saying coming from your partner.
  • There’s also a bit of speechlessness and shyness at the others’ awesomeness  and
  • Touching between the couples at the slightest opportunity –

 – Sylvia Igwe, United Capital.

When a woman is in love, these three things happen:
  • She’s happy all the time – It may appear that she’s happy for no reason at all. She’s giggly, chatty, and always smiling at her phone.
  • She starts to add weight – This is commonly known as love weight. All the food from movies and romantic dinner dates start to become obvious.
  • She stops wearing makeup – Her man loves her as she is, she no longer cares what the world thinks.

– Somachi Chris-Asoluka, Tony Elumelu Foundation
