Q: What\u2019s one unexpected fact about your childhood that you think shaped who you are today?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: Growing up, my relatives nicknamed me “bank” <\/strong>because I was often tasked with keeping money for them. What started as a simple childhood habit sparked my curiosity about finance and money management. That early sense of responsibility and structure instilled in me a deep appreciation for financial discipline and strategic thinking; qualities that also influenced my career path.<\/p>\n

Q: When you\u2019re not leading Afriland, what\u2019s your go-to way to unwind and have fun?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: I find relaxation in literature, reading or writing. Watching movies allows me to escape into different worlds while reading articles keeps me engaged with new perspectives and ideas. Writing, especially working on my novel, is both therapeutic and fulfilling, an opportunity to shape narratives, express ideas, and explore human experiences in a meaningful way.<\/p>\n

Q: Do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: Many people don\u2019t know that I am a published author. I have written and released one novel, and I\u2019m currently working on another. Balancing a corporate career with creative writing has been an interesting journey, but it\u2019s something I\u2019m passionate about.<\/p>\n

Q: Is there a favourite travel destination or hidden gem that\u2019s captured your heart?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: One place that truly left an impression on me is Hurghada, Egypt. I particularly love the clear blue waters.<\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s the best meal or dish you\u2019ve ever had on your trips, and what made it so memorable?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: One of my most memorable food experiences happened unexpectedly in Spain. My friends and I had just finished fine dining at a restaurant when we stumbled upon a vibrant street food market. The local flavours were incredible, it reminded me that sometimes, the most spontaneous moments bring the greatest joy.<\/p>\n

Q: Do you have a morning ritual or routine that kick-starts your day in a special way?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: My day starts with what I call \u2018water therapy.\u2019 As soon as I wake up, I make it a habit to drink about 500ml of water. It helps rehydrate my body and set a refreshing tone for the day. It\u2019s a simple yet powerful ritual that keeps me energised and mentally alert.<\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s a small daily habit that helps you stay positive and motivated?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: I draw inspiration from my favourite verse in the doxology: “Praise God from whom all blessings flow.” This reminds me to stay grateful, grounded, and focused on what truly matters.<\/p>\n

Q: Which book or movie has left a lasting impression on you, and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: The Richest Man in Babylon is a book that shaped my perspective on wealth and financial discipline. It breaks down timeless principles of saving, investing, and growing wealth in such a simple yet impactful way. Over the years, I\u2019ve applied those principles in my life and have also shared them as advice to others.<\/p>\n

Q: If you could create the perfect playlist for a relaxed weekend, what\u2019s one song that\u2019d be on it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: Aka Ya<\/em> by Gabriel Eziashi. There\u2019s something deeply uplifting about the song, it carries a sense of gratitude, faith, and inspiration. It\u2019s the kind of music that reminds you to celebrate life\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n

Q: If you could have dinner with any historical figure or celebrity (beyond the business world), who would it be and what would you ask them?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: Fela Kuti. His music, activism, and sheer audacity to challenge the status quo were extraordinary. If I had the chance to sit across from him, I\u2019d ask about the motivation behind his fearlessness. What gave him the courage to speak out so boldly, despite the risks? And how did he maintain his conviction even in the face of adversity?<\/p>\n
