{"id":669,"date":"2015-10-28T07:31:09","date_gmt":"2015-10-28T07:31:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/heirsholdings.com\/hhpeople\/?p=669"},"modified":"2015-11-03T07:33:50","modified_gmt":"2015-11-03T07:33:50","slug":"lolas-concoction-kitchen-halloween-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heirsholdings.com\/hhpeople\/2015\/10\/lolas-concoction-kitchen-halloween-edition","title":{"rendered":"Lola\u2019s (concoction) Kitchen &#8211; Halloween edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By <strong>Lola Obembe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes I know it\u2019s unusual and you\u2019ve probably never \u2018celebrated\u2019 it before, but to commemorate All Hallows Eve (celebrated widely elsewhere), I decided to make something unusual \u2013 design\u2026err green stew!<\/p>\n<p>I actually have a legit designer stew recipe but I forgot the critical ingredient when I went shopping; the palm oil. Luckily for you, I had some olive oil lying around so not only is this an unusual Halloween themed green stew, its also healthy!<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 Green Bell peppers (I used the local kind)<\/li>\n<li>2 large cloves of garlic (I love the taste of garlic, you can use 1 or chuck it entirely)<\/li>\n<li>5 medium sized yellow onions<\/li>\n<li>1 pack of chopped goat meat (you could use a different protein and or add assorted meat chopped into little bits)<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon fool of Italian seasoning<\/li>\n<li>3 cubes of knorr<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 1<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat the meat in a medium sized pot over medium heat until it starts to sweat then add half a chopped onion to the mix and two cubes of knorr.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the mix up and let it continue to sweat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Step 2 <\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blend the peppers, rest of the onions and garlic until smooth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Step 3<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pour the blended mix into the sweating meat mix. Add two spoon fulls of olive oil and cover again.<\/li>\n<li>Add the last knorr cube and stir as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The stew is ready when it becomes beady and the meat is soft. Serve over white rice\u2026hot!
