There is a saying by Mother Theresa which\u00a0speaks to my heart\u00a0and\u00a0resonates in my mind\u00a0as I go through each day.\u00a0It says: Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God\u2019s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.<\/p>\n

I should warn you\u00a0though,\u00a0this does not\u00a0conflict with my\u00a0role\u00a0at work.\u00a0When\u00a0it comes to\u00a0carrying out my duties at\u00a0the\u00a0workplace\u00a0or as a\u00a0parent,\u00a0I think the saying would be, anything worth doing; is worth doing well.<\/p>\n

My learning points from these two scenarios would be\u00a0for\u00a0everyone\u00a0to\u00a0learn how to\u00a0strike a balance\u00a0while pursuing\u00a0excellence.<\/p>\n

2.\u202fHow do you unwind?<\/p>\n
Hmm\u2026soaking\u00a0in the bath tub with\u00a0warm water and\u00a0soothing music\u00a0playing\u00a0on the background\u00a0or\u00a0watching cartoons\u00a0with my son\u00a0(PJ masks\u00a0is his favourite).\u00a0Oh yes, my all-time favourite\u00a0would be\u00a0watching movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I hope you\u2019ve\u00a0watched the\u00a02018 releases \u2026the\u00a0Black Panther,\u00a0Avengers:\u00a0Infinity War;\u00a0Ant Man\u00a0&\u00a0the Wasp, while counting down to Captain Marvel\u00a0and Avengers: Untitled\u00a0to be released\u00a0in\u00a0March\u00a0and May\u00a02019\u00a0respectively.<\/p>\n

Hmm\u2026 tough one but\u00a0I think\u00a0I will still go for\u00a0Men of Honour.\u00a0The movie is based on a true story of the first African-American\u00a0Carl Brashear\u00a0to serve as a diver in the United States Navy. He was born to a poor farming family but wanted a better life for himself and decided to join the Navy. It starts with him having to contend with racism from the point of his application to sharing the barracks with his other white comrades but his sheer courage and determination saw him succeed to win his diving instructor\u00a0over;\u00a0and\u00a0who then becomes his ally when coming face to face with prejudice, military bureaucracy and even a crippling injury just to realise his dreams.<\/p>\n

5.\u202fFavourite football club or any other sport that strikes your fancy?<\/p>\n
I am a die-hard Manchester United (Man U) Fan (coincidentally,\u00a0my favourite colour is RED\u2026so\u00a0this makes for\u00a0an easy blend).<\/p>\n

I also love playing and watching lawn tennis \u2026I wish Novak Djokovic could win all the time\u00a0(that\u2019s just how I feel;\u00a0although my husband would prefer Nadal).<\/p>\n

6.\u202fMost Embarrassing moment ever experienced<\/p>\n
I was at a departmental store\u00a0somewhere\u00a0in Lekki\u00a0with my husband\u00a0when I ran into an employee of one of the banks I\u00a0had\u00a0carried\u00a0out branch\u00a0audits\u00a0in;\u00a0(this was\u00a0back in\u00a0the days when I was still in the\u00a0consultancy\u00a0world).\u00a0Immediately\u00a0our eyes met,\u00a0she exclaimed to the hearing of all shoppers\u00a0\u201cHere\u2019s the young lady who almost got me fired\u00a0from\u00a0my\u00a0Regional\u00a0Manager\u00a0position\u00a0at work.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At that moment,\u00a0everyone who had heard\u00a0her remarks, turned towards my direction\u00a0to\u00a0catch a glimpse of what I looked like.\u00a0Being an unexpected exclamation, I froze for a minute and thankfully,\u00a0with\u00a0my husband\u2019s help,\u00a0I\u00a0recovered just in time to defend myself without giving away\u00a0sensitive\u00a0information. Even though she\u00a0humbly conceded\u00a0that I was clearly doing my job with the Bank\u2019s interests at heart, I had to contend with the glances that came from time to time from passers-by till I\u00a0eventually\u00a0left the store.<\/p>\n

7.\u202fHappiest moment ever experienced<\/p>\n
I think for me, happy moments arise when I have a goal, desire\u00a0or dream and achieve it\u2026 thus in my case, I have had\u00a0several\u00a0happy moments with each one in a class of its own; education,\u00a0travel destinations,\u00a0career,\u00a0marriage,\u00a0motherhood,\u00a0family\u00a0\u2026the whole deal.<\/p>\n

8.\u202fWhat is family to you?<\/p>\n
In my books, family is not always about bloodline, I think it is about those\u00a0persons who have committed\u00a0to\u00a0embark on life\u2019s\u00a0journey with you\u00a0and never leave you\u00a0no matter the ups and downs.<\/p>\n

I have come to\u00a0accept\u00a0that family is\u00a0an\u00a0aspect of\u00a0one\u2019s\u00a0life that is considered a constant\u2026thus,\u00a0your\u00a0work\u00a0place or\u00a0career\u00a0path\u00a0may change, lifestyle\u00a0and taste preferences too. People\u00a0will come and go, even that sense of spirituality\u00a0may falter and possibly\u00a0be questioned based on life\u2019s experiences, but\u00a0your\u00a0family\u2026that\u00a0ideally\u00a0is\u00a0and ought to be\u00a0there to the end.
