Godwin\u00a0joined the NCCN in December 2015\u00a0as its Renewable Energy Markets Advisor for the Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme (RECP) which is centred on stimulating and encouraging private sector investment and participation.<\/p>\n

“So far, our programme has been engaging stakeholders in the broader energy sector in Nigeria from the Regulators to private players and our interactions have revealed that the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerians in the Renewable Energy sector is just as vibrant as it is any sector. Gloria Agugua is the cheerful Client Relations Officer for the\u00a0Heirs Holdings group. Her job involves interacting with clients and ensuring that they have a great experience during the time they are in the building. Recently, her job description\u00a0has been expanded to also cover responsibilities as a Human Resource professional, a role that she seems to be adapting to excellently, like fish to water. Despite a hectic work schedule, she still finds time to read books and hangout.<\/p>\n

Most times I work till pretty late I do not have time to chill, I\u2019ll rather go home and sleep lol. I like trying out new places. When I get a chance, I make the most out of it.<\/p>\n

My go-to place is RSVP in Victoria Island. I like Curst and Cream for their pasta; I like the concept and \u00a0Ambiance of NOK by Alaria. I also love food from Rhapsody. When I am not able to hang \u00a0I drive through and get the Mexican grilled salad from road Chef. \u00a0‘Wink\u2019.<\/p>\n

I like Christian books… Francine Rivers is my favourite novel by a long mile.<\/div>\n

By self-confession, Bunmi never finishes a book nor does he read each page in order, but after we mulled over the sheer volume of his library, we decided he can be described as very well read.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s currently \u201creading\u201d about a dozen works\u00a0including\u00a0C. K. Prahalad\u2019s The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid: Eradicating Poverty Through Profits<\/em><\/a>. It\u2019s a book about the fastest-growing, most overlooked market in the world, and the next frontier for killer profits: the bottom of the pyramid.<\/p>\n

Featuring detailed case studies from India, Peru, Mexico, Brazil and Venezuela, this might be considered a must-read for anyone who is, say, running a bank in a developing economy, seeking insight on how to increase lending to the untapped working poor\u2026.<\/p>\n

Bunmi is also engaged in some light reading. An avid follower of the politico, he\u2019s currently thumbing through the first volume of former President Obasanjo\u2019s controversial memoir, My Watch<\/em><\/a>,<\/em> which he has been reading since it was published in January.<\/p>\n

Just don\u2019t ask Bunmi what he thinks \u2013 he\u2019s still not finished yet. \u201cI\u2019m good at finishing things I\u2019m measured on,\u201d he says, with a wry smile.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
