Abuja, Nigeria \u2013 [16 December 2025] –<\/strong> Transcorp Hotels Plc<\/a>, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc (\u201cTranscorp Group\u201d), has announced the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Awele Vivien Elumelu, OFR, as Chair of the Company, effective January 01, 2026.<\/p>\n Dr. Elumelu\u2019s appointment follows the retirement of the current Chair, Mr. Emmanuel N. Nnorom, with effect from January 01, 2026. She is a medical doctor, with an MBBS from the University of Benin and clinical experience in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Dr Elumelu\u2019s medical training has been complemented with world-class executive education from institutions including Harvard Business School, IMD Switzerland, and the London School of Economics.<\/p>\n Dr. Elumelu\u2019s commitment to social impact is demonstrated through her role as Trustee and Co-Founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, Africa\u2019s leading philanthropy empowering young entrepreneurs.
