In Oslo last week, our Founder and Group Chairman, Tony O. Elumelu, CFR, joined Nordic investors and business leaders at the 14th Nordic–African Business Summit, organised by the Norwegian-African Business Association (NABA) in partnership with Norfund, the Africa Finance Corporation, and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During a fireside chat moderated by David Pilling, Africa Editor, Financial Times, Mr. Elumelu spotlighted Africapitalism — the belief that Africa’s private sector must lead the continent’s development through long-term, responsible investment.
He called on Nordic investors to view Africa as the next frontier for investment, emphasising the shared vision between both regions to build long-term growth.
“You make your money in Africa; invest in Africa. Create jobs on the continent. Help to provide the infrastructure that we need.” — توني أو. إيلوميلو، CFR
