Heirs Holdings Announces Angela Aneke and Alex Trotter as Board Members
In line with its strategic goals and compliance to global corporate governance standards, Heirs Holdings, a family owned investment company with a focus on Africa’s key strategic sectors, has announced Ms. Angela Aneke and Mr. Alex Trotter as independent non-executive directors of the Heirs Holdings Board.
i. Alexander Trotter: Alex is a partner and Founder of Newmarket Asset Management, a specialist investor in frontier African equities based in the United Kingdom. He has been involved in African investment and business management since 2006. Alex holds degrees from Oxford University and Imperial College and is also a Trustee of the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
ii. Angela Aneke: Angela is the Founder of AA&Co, a corporate governance consulting firm in Nigeria. She has over three decades of banking experience and retired as Group Executive Director at United Bank for Africa (UBA). Angela holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from The American University, Washington DC, an MBA from Warwick University and has been an International Associate of the Certified Public Accountants since 1985. Angela has extensive board and corporate governance experience gathered over the years from her varied board participation and involvement.
They both will bring their expertise and decades of experience to the service of Heirs Holdings and its portfolio of investments spanning the power, oil and gas, financial services, hospitality, real estate and healthcare sectors, operating in twenty-three countries worldwide. Other members of the Board include Tony O. Elumelu, Chairman, Heirs Holdings; Dr. Awele V. Elumelu, Board Member, Heirs Holdings; and Mr. Emmanuel Nnorom, Board Member and Chief Executive Officer, Heirs Holdings.
